Sainte Mère l'église

The theater of one of the greatest exploits of military history, Sainte-Mère Eglise saw paratroopers "pouring rain" on the village and its surroundings during the night of 5 to 6 June 1944. The memory of the events that brought peace In Europe is still present: the church, the museum of the airborne troops or the battery of Azeville are witnesses that remind us that peace is due to few things.

This should not, however, prevent one from admiring the old buildings of the city, its laundries, its fountains, its manors ... or to enjoy the pleasures of the rural life of Cotentin. The nature preserved and worked gives in abundance and in quality the fruits of the sea and the earth. The lights and mood of the marshes will delight photographers and walkers, while sports enthusiasts will enjoy sailing in sand-yachting or riding on the large stretches of Utah Beach.
